As per the Govt. of NCT of Delhi, DRY DAY FOR TOBACCO in Delhi was observed on 31st July, 2017. In this regard an awareness lecture “Tobacco Free Delhi” was organized by the Anti-Smoking Cell of the college on 2nd Aug, 2017. Dr. S.K Arora, Additional Director (State Tobacco Control, DGHS, GNCTD) was invited as the keynote speaker. The purpose of this lecture was to make students and staff aware about the harmful effects of tobacco usage. Dr. S. K. Arora explained various hazardous of tobacco usage and shared preventive measures and different helpline numbers to minimize these activities in his lecture. The lecture was followed by the Anti-Tobacco Pledge.
Bhaskaracharya Cell aims to generate awareness, inculcate interest and respect among young students towards the ancient Indian wisdom contributed by great scientists, scholars and many others. The cell organizes various activities, workshop, competitions etc. The cell also celebrates “Bhaskaracharya Day” to give homage to the great mathematician and astronomer Bhaskaracharya every year.
Career Counselling Cell
The Career Counselling Cell has been set up in the college for the benefit of the students and to prepare them to face the upcoming challenges in their career. The cell helps the students chalk out academic roadmaps for themselves. The primary objective of this Cell is to provide the much needed life skills to students and help them to keep pace with the present stiff competition. This Cell undertakes several measures like organizing seminars and workshops on topics like communication skills, personality development, corporate culture/etiquette, leadership skills and also scope of higher education in various institutions within India and across the globe for the various science courses. These programs are conducted by distinguished personalities in the field.
Equal Opportunity Cell
The main objective of Equal opportunity cell is to oversee the effective implementation of policies and programmes for disadvantaged groups, to provide guidance and counselling with respect to academic, financial, social and other matters and to enhance the diversity within the campus. E.O.C has various functions such as to ensure equity and equal opportunity to the community at large in the college and bring about social inclusion. It also ensures enhancing the diversity among the students, teaching and non-teaching staff population and at the same time eliminates the perception of discrimination. It helps to create a socially congenial atmosphere for academic interaction and for the growth of healthy interpersonal relationships among the students coming from various social backgrounds. Equal Opportunity Cell helps individuals or a group of students belonging to the disadvantaged section of society to contain the problems related to discrimination. The cell in our college conducts various lectures and activities so as to encourage students to actively participate and know the importance of social equality.
Women Development Cell
Women empowerment is needed to increase the spiritual, social, political and economic strength of women. This leads to development of self-confidence in them. The major aim of this cell is empowering girls since it will lead to a change in the society which would be sustainable and will be in effect for ages to come. Many activities like self defence workshops conducted by Delhi Police, essay writing competitions, slogan wriing competitions are being executed towards fulfillment of this aim.

NSS Cell of the college is active in developing social & civic responsibilityand nationalharmony skills among students. NSS cell organized the following activities in 2016
➤ NSS cell organised celebrated BasantPanchmi on Feb 12, 2016 in association with ECO club.
➤ NSS cell organised a work shop on ColourAcupressure on April 19, 2016. Dr. Ajay Mishra explained importance of Colour Acupressure in curing various diseases.
➤ NSS cell organised a lecture of Sh. N.K . Singh ( Sr.TV Journalist) on Meaning of Aazadi for the Youth of India on 31st August 2016
➤ NSS cell celebrated NSS day on September 24, 2016. On this occasion ,a slogan writing competition on Ill effects of Drug Addiction was organised in the college in association with the Anti-Tobacco Cell of the college. 63 students participated in the competition. The competition was judged by Dr.BalaramPani (Principal of College), Sh. YashwantDevPanwar (Head PFC, TIFAC, New Delhi) in which best three slogans were selected and cash prizes (as per directed by NSS Cell, University of Delhi) were given to winning students. CLEAN CAMPUS DRIVE
➤ A Tree Plantation Drive was organised by NSS cellin the college premises on September 28, 2016.
➤ The NSS unit of the college in coordination with the District election officer, Dwarkaorganized Madata Awareness Campaign (Special Electoral camps to sensitize youth electors during Special Summary Revision)on October 6 & October 20, 2016 in the college.A Graffiti Competition was also organised on the theme "Matdata"on October 20, 2016. The prize was givento the Best Graffiti.

The purpose and composition of cell
The Career Counseling cell has been set up in the college for the benefit of the students and to prepare them to face the upcoming challenges in their career. The cell has representation from faculty members from all the eight courses and also allied Departments, to help students chalk out academic roadmaps for themselves.
The Cell's primary objectives
- To provide the much needed life skills to students and help them find job placements and to help keep pace with the present stiff competition. This Cell has undertaken several measures like organizing seminars and workshops on topics like communication skills, personality development, corporate culture/etiquette and leadership skills for the students. These programs have been conducted by distinguished personalities in the field.
- To guide students regarding various options available to them including higher education and other career opportunities, apart from placement support. We organize lectures by inviting eminent scientists/ technical experts to guide students about the scope of higher education in various institutions within India and across the globe for the various science courses.
Career Counseling Cell organized various events in the session 2016-17.
- The Career Counselling Cell along with Placement and Training Cellorganized a lecture session on Entrepreneurship by Mr.Pawan Dixit, Director ,Croma Campus on Monday, October 24, 2016.
- A seminar regarding the ‘career opportunities abroad, scholarships and job options’ was conducted by “SIEC Education Pvt. Ltd.” on Wednesday, April 6, 2016.
North - East Cell
The North-East Cell integrates students from the North Eastern States into the mainstream. The cell provides a platform for all the students from North-East states studying in the College to share and sort out their problems. It counsels students and provides a friendly atmosphere to them. This cell discusses student’s issues and concerns. The motto of this cell is that these students should be represented in all the college activities adequately. This cell also functions to promote the awareness and celebrate the region’s unique and magnificent culture
